Overview of Student Advising
The mission of Wake Forest University Student Advisers is to foster a strong relationship between peer mentors and incoming students through programs and activities during New Student Orientation and throughout the school year. Additionally, Student Advisers will work closely with Faculty/Staff advisers and the Office of Academic Advising to develop academic plans that follow the values, goals, and career aspirations of the incoming student. Finally, the Student Advisers will introduce incoming students to the student body and campus life while serving as a mentor to aid with this transition. Student Advisers serve as integral members of the Wake Forest University New Student Orientation Program, and act as a resource and crucial support system for new students during their first year while also teaming with and being available for faculty/staff advisers.
