We would like to help all students find belonging and success at Wake Forest University. We also understand that circumstances sometimes necessitate a transfer to a different institution, and the Office of Academic Advising is willing to assist you through the process.

Prior to making a final decision, it is a good idea to meet with an Academic Counselor or Academic Dean. We can help you think through your decision and might be able to assist with problems that are leading you to consider transferring.

In the case that a student will not return, we request notification via an email to undergraduateadvising@wfu.edu. The notification should arrive from the student’s WFU email account with their name, id, and statement of intent to leave. This process may also be handed via a walk-in visit.

For information about the Common Application Transfer form process and other forms requested by schools not using the Common Application, OAA’s Administrative Secretary is willing to assist.

Students who are transferring to another institution and/or not registered for classes by the last day to add in a given term will be deemed non-returning. All non-returning students are still eligible to apply for readmission through our office at a later time.
