Ms. McKinney graduated from Wake Forest with a B.A. in Psychology in 2015 and began working in the Office of Academic Advising shortly thereafter. As one of four Academic Counselors in OAA, Shannon can offer academic assistance to any member of the undergraduate population; specifically, she partners with and serves as backup for academic advisers with last names Q-V. She oversees the collection of and coordinates outreach based on academic alerts shared with OAA, in addition to reviewing and processing all part-time status requests. She is a Safe Zone facilitator through the WFU LGBTQ Center and serves on the Campus Leadership Team for WFU’s participation in the Culture of Respect Collective, a NASPA initiative to improve efforts to address sexual violence on campus.
